Liteboho Lelia, Lesotho, 2015, framed + museum glass.
For the most part, the portraits I made in Lesotho 2015-2018 are of young male shepherds who appear before the camera in an open and comfortable way. There are a couple of photographs in which the subjects seem simultaneously guarded, threatening, and vulnerable. These are the most profound for me.
