Harbour(River Bed) #1, Magaliesburg, 2020
This Diptych was made while on a game farm. I have always thought that game-watching is less a matter of seeing animals than being a seen-the observer is the game. I love the beauty, disquiet, and tonal depth.
The work is also future -proof; the water's gone. This work also reminds me of Cormac Mcarthy's Blood Meridien-the parched stage for an event that will be hard to erase from memory.
