Civic Centre, Cape Town, 1999
The second I got a 4 x 5 camera in my mitts, I photographed the tesselating fenestration of Cape Town's Civic Centre.
In line with Le Corbusier’s Town Planning principles, it highlights a Modernist proposal to separate traffic from people; four lanes pass under the chequered forecourt.
